Back in the day, I could never get my parents to buy me a pair of these.  The conversation usually went like this:

Young YAKWII: Can you buy me a pair of Zubaz?!?!

YAKWII’s Parents: No.

Young YAKWII: Why not?

YAKWII’s Parents: Because we said so.

Young YAKWII: Well, when I’m a grown up, I’m gonna buy a pair.

YAKWII’s Parents: When you’re an adult, you can do whatever you want to do.

Well guess what???

Yeah 80′s.  This was playing at the gym the other day and unfortunately, it was the best song they played all day.  I go to one of those corporate-run, chain gyms and they constantly play these God awful ultra-techno remixes of really bad pop songs!

I really hate to be critical and I rarely do this, but the sh*t is terrible!  Whoever is putting together the music for my gum is literally stealing money from that company cause they’re getting paid to do  a sh*ty job!  Seriously, I know that they’re trying to cater to a certain type of person by playing this type of music, but I’m at a total loss at who the f*ck these people are that they’re catering to!  I mean, that sh*t is terrible!  I really almost cried, out loud and in public, when my IPod broke the other day and I was forced to workout to that crap.  It was brutal!

Can’t tell you how many times I watched this as a kid.

Don’t even bother thinkin “Oh, how nice of her to let Webster dance with her!”  I guarantee homie stroked her off that night!  Guarantee it!  You’re probably thinkin “Oh, but she’s so hot and he’s so….short.  There’s no way she’d like him.”

But that’s where you’re WRONG!!  Sh*t like this happens all the time.  People you don’t think are smashin are most definitely smashin!  Add a little alcohol to the situation and anything is a go!  Don’t get it twisted!

Ahhh….the Happy Meal.  For many kids, the Happy Meal solved all problems.  From…

• Scuffing your new sneakers,
• Gettin pushed off your bike and breaking your arm,
• Gettin jumped for your Gameboy at the playground,
• Gettin “pantsed” in class and everyone seeing the streakmarks in your tighty whiteys,
• To getting constantly laughed at all day, every day by all the cute girls at school for absolutely no reason at all when you didn’t do anything wrong and now, as a result, you’ve developed a deep-rooted and twisted complex about attractive women that makes you freeze up at just the thought of approaching a woman in any kind of public setting, even into your late 20s, so you’re forced to see a shrink twice a week to help you deal but she’s drop dead gorgeous and you’re deathly afraid to make eye contact, so essentially all she’s doing is making your problems just that much worse……..but I digress.

So yes, the Happy Meal is a time-tested solution to most (but obviously not all) of childhood’s woes.  Aside from the burger, fries, drink and the actual box, the best part of the Happy Meal was the toy inside!  Since I don’t have any children  (And this is NOT because I am the person that I described earlier who is well into his late 20s and is still deathly afraid to approach women and will never even have the slightest chance at being in a long-standing and healthy relationship, let alone have a child, because that’s not me!  That is not YAKWII!

That is only a fictional person and a fictional psychological issue I fabricated.  In no way, shape or form is any part of that description true or even remotely related to the childhood or current adulthood of YAKWII!  No way!  Not even close!  I’m too cool to be that guy!  That’s why I have this blog!  To prove that I’m cool!  I post pics of really attractive women on my blog! Women send me pics to post on my blog! Women leave me comments on my blog! Women like me!  My shrink friends say they do!  Yeah, women really do like me!) I don’t know what they put in the Happy Meal boxes these days, but do I remember some of the toys that I had as a kid.
