Sol LeWitt

Sup.  Time to get up on my art sh*t.  Peep the work of artist Sol LeWitt (September 9, 1928 – April 8, 2007).

Sol Lewitt's Wall Drawing number 1256 - Five Pointed Stars was installed in Berlin in 2008

I like dude’s work a lot.  Nothing too crazy – just clean lines, real bright and colorful stuff.  I like modern art.  Tate Modern was one of the dopest places I ever visited.

Really don’t care for that wild surrealism sh*t, like the stuff by Dali.

WTF is this??  Sh*t freaks me out!

I do have one huge gripe about Sol LeWitt’s work though.  Unfortunately, it’s being displayed for the next 25 years at the Williams College Museum of Art.  WTF!!

Ok, I have a confession to make.  Even for as f*ckin cool and intergalacticly awesome that I am…. I’m a NESCAC kid.

If you’re from the northeast, you might know what that means.  However, that also depends on what type of company you keep.  I didn’t know what the f*ck a NESCAC kid was until I became one.

If you’re not familiar, that means I went to one of these ultra expensive, highly selective, liberal arts schools in the middle of flippin nowhere with a bunch of semi-book smart rich kids who don’t know their a$$holes from their elbows.  (I can say that cause I went to one of these schools.)  Odds are that if you’re also a NESCAC kid, you’re not reading this blog anyways (unless you know me personally), so no one will get offended.  However, if by chance you did attend a NESCAC school and I don’t know you, holla at me.

All that being said, I can’t stand Williams!  To put this in big school perspective, Williams is like Florida or USC in football or Duke in basketball.  They’re always good.  They might not win it all every year, but they’re always in the running.  Williams is just like this on the D III level.  Plus their endowment is like a billion more than the next NESCAC school.  Never met anyone who went to a NESCAC school, other than Williams, who actually cared for Williams!

Alright, if you just read all of that, I apologize for taking a minute of your life that you will never get back.  Here are the pics of Sol’s work:

One yourself.
